Teacher Assistants provide vital support in elementary and EC classrooms, working alongside teachers to meet the diverse needs of students. They offer individual and small-group assistance, reinforce lessons, and help with classroom management to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive academically and personally.
Qualify to Become a TA
Teacher assistants work with teachers to facilitate learning in elementary and EC classrooms across the district.
Most TA positions include bus driving duties as well.
In order to qualify for a teacher's assistant position, you must complete one of the following:
- An associate’s degree from an accredited institution;
- 48 semester hours from an accredited institution;
- Or meet district WorkKeys test score requirements.
