RSS Welcomes Dr. Tony Watlington Sr.
Rowan-Salisbury Schools is excited to welcome our new superintendent – Dr. Tony Watlington Sr. Dr. Watlington Sr. was sworn in on January 11, 2021. In his first week, he has visited with many students, teachers, staff, administrators, and community members. Over the coming weeks, Dr. Watlington plans to tour each school to get to know their unique facets and communities they serve.
As students, teachers, and community members get to know Dr. Watlington Sr., he has described his personal philosophy on schools and leadership in the following ways:

As Dr. Watlington Sr. joins Rowan-Salisbury Schools, his top priorities for the first six months are as follows:
