In order to align with other districts in our region, the Rowan-Salisbury School System will adopt calendars for the next two school years to provide significant planning time for parents. After this year, we will adopt one calendar at a time to stay two years ahead of our adoption process.

Noteworthy differences:

OPTION A 

• First day for students falls on a Monday in each year. 
• Seven teacher workdays before school starts (two optional).
• Two weeks for Winter Break.

OPTION B 

• First day for students falls on a Thursday in each year. 
• Five teacher workdays before school starts (one optional).
• Two and a half weeks for Winter Break.
