Title I Pre-K

    • The Title I Pre-K classrooms are located at Knollwood, Hurley, Koontz, North Rowan, and Hanford-Dole elementary schools. Students must reside in Rowan County, be 4 years old by August 31, 2025, and demonstrate an educational need during the screening process.

    EARLY LEARNING / PREK

    • Rowan-Salisbury Schools offers early learning to young children through Title I Pre-K and NC Pre-K. Each program serves students with different needs and has its own application process.

    NC Pre-K (SmartStart)

    • The NC Pre-K classrooms are located at Landis, China Grove, Shive, Granite Quarry, Morgan, and West Rowan elementary schools. Students are selected and placed in these classrooms based on the SmartStart Rowan eligibility and application process. These applications are open all year round.
