The Rowan-Salisbury School System (RSS) congratulates Knox Middle School teacher Felecia Young for her recognition to the 2023 Class of Extraordinary Educators, “an annual program that celebrates and connects exemplar teachers in grades K–8 from around the country.” This distinction is selected by Curriculum Associates, which “designs research-based print and online instructional materials, screens and assessments, and data management tools.”

Ms. Young joins educators from around the country in a collaborative network now in its fourth year. Ms. Young will participate in professional development, a Leadership Summit and other events throughout the year. 

“We are thrilled that Ms. Young has been recognized for her innovative and engaging teaching strategies with iReady by Curriculum Associates,” RSS Superintendent Dr. Kelly Withers said. “She will be an excellent representative of the Knox community and the Rowan-Salisbury School System as she participates in Extraordinary Educators events. We are excited to see the impact of her experience on her students and in her school.”
