Football Game

HORNETS!! The North Rowan/Salisbury Varsity football game has been moved to Thursday, August 22nd. Start time is 7:30 at North Rowan High School. Come out and support the Varsity football team TOMORROW night starting at 7:30. 

The JV football game with North has been postponed. Time, place and location to be determined.




Salisbury High School golf coach, Lucas Hatley, was selected as the 2019 Rowan County Golf Coach of the Year!  Congratulations Mr. Hatley and thank for your dedication to your sport.  Three Salisbury High School golfers were selected to the 2019 Rowan County All County Golf Team.  Congratulations to Will Webb, Hank Robins, and Will Fowler.




The Salisbury High School baseball team had three athletes chosen to the 2019 Rowan County All County Team.  Way to go Jack Fisher, Bo Rusher, and Vance Honeycutt.




The Salisbury High School tennis team had a tremendous run at the state championship this year.  They were led by Salisbury Post Athlete of the Year, Rowan County Tennis Player of the Year, and 2019 Rowan County All County Tennis team member, Roarke Burton.  Other Salisbury Tennis players to make the 2019 Rowan County All County Tennis team are Sean Archer, Juan Salazar, Leo Schiavinato, Jander Rodas-Palacios, and Ethan McGee.



Tyrone Johnson was selected as the Rowan County Track and Field Athlete of the Year.  Johnson took running and long jumping pretty far this past spring. He prevailed in both events in the April 17 county meet at East Rowan, winning the 200 meters in 22.25 seconds and the long jump with a rather ordinary leap of 21 feet, 2 inches. He also placed second in the 100 (11.19) and the triple jump (43-10), accumulating 36 team points for the Hornets.



The softball team enjoyed a very successful season in the spring.  Ellen Yang and Journey Dawson were standouts for the Hornets.  They were both chosen to the 2019 Rowan County All County Team.  Way to go ladies!



Salisbury High School soccer coach, Matt Parrish, was named as the 2019 Rowan County Soccer Coach of the Year!  Thank you for your continued hard work in and out of the classroom and on the soccer field.  We are all very proud of you!  We would also like to congratulate the following student athletes on their selection to the 2019 Rowan County All County Soccer Team!  Piper Muire, Sutton Webb, Ellen Simons, Lillie Rusher, Anna Grace Woolly, and Elle Kennedy.  Way to go ladies!  Way to make us proud!
