News Highlights

OES October Coffee Hour

Just a reminder that our Parent Coffee Hour is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10:00 am via Zoom.  The topic is Bullying Prevention.  The link for parents to join is posted in ClassDojo. All parent/guardian attendees have a chance to win a gift card prize and the teacher with the most parental involvement will also win a prize.

OES Students and their simple machines

Overton Scholars are working on creating simple machines in STEM rotations. They are using the 5 Cs of Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Caring to make simple machines that can be used in robot designs during the next set of rotations. Scholars will be identifying an environmental problem and then creating a robot to address all or part of that issue. We are so proud of the creativity and perseverance shown by our scholars in their STEM endeavors!
