COVID Symptoms Updated
Jeanie McDowell

Based on guidance from the CDC, we have added several additional symptoms to our At-Home COVID Symptoms Screening process and have modified some safety protocols.

All staff and students are still required to undergo daily home-based symptom screenings. You will find an updated At-Home COVID Symptom Screening document attached, which will walk you through the symptom screening process. When you or your child reports to school on Monday, please add the following symptoms to your at-home screening routine:

  • Diarrhea or vomiting

  • Headache (with severe or sudden onset)

  • Sore throat

All staff and students must disclose and stay home/go home if:

  • They have tested positive for COVID-19

  • They have recently had close contact with a person with COVID-19 within the past 10 days

  • They have a household member that has been diagnosed with COVID-19

Anyone who meets any of the circumstances above may not return to school until they have met the criteria for return. We urge everyone to remain vigilant, check for COVID symptoms regularly, and stay home if any symptoms are present.

Thank you for continuously monitoring yourself and your children for COVID symptoms throughout this pandemic. We appreciate your efforts to keep our community healthy and safe.
