Title One PreK Applications

The RSS Title I program is now accepting applications for children to enroll in the Pre-Kindergarten programs to be held at North Rowan. Hurley, Knollwood, and Hanford Dole Elementary Schools. All completed applications must be retuned by February 28, 2019.

Valentine's Dance! Get your tickets today!

Join us Friday, Feb 15th for Hurley's Valentine's Dance! Meet us in the gym from 5:00 pm-7:00pm. Tickets are on sale now for $5.00. Tickets at the door is $6.00. Tickets include 1 drink and 1 slice of pizza. This is for Hurley students only.

Rowan-Salisbury Schools Pilots State Renewal Program

The State of North Carolina passed HB 986 enabling qualifying school districts to become a renewal district. Currently only Rowan-Salisbury Schools district qualifies. On June 28th the RSS Board of Education elected to participate in this program. Click for details.

Renewal School System

Today the General Assembly passed an Education Bill (H986) which would allow Rowan-Salisbury Schools the opportunity to become a Renewal School System.

Rowan County Recyclers

Rowan County School students were offered the Go Green Challenge as a Problem Based Learning event. Winners were recognized at the April Board of Education meeting. There was a winning class for the Elementary and High School levels.
