Lock: $10 max (Schools require school purchased locks on lockers as a safety issue which allows school personnel access when deemed necessary)
PE Uniform: $20 max

 

High School

 

CTE Courses: TBD (To be charged based on the course and the student product to be taken home by the student. (carpentry and food). Nursing Fundamentals (uniforms)
CTE Certification: TBD (Cost will be determined by the cost of the certification exam. Waivers for fees may be granted by making application through the school guidance office.
AP Exams: TBD (Cost determined by College Board - non-refundable. Waivers for fees may be granted by making application through the school guidance office.
PSAT: $14 (fee is for students who choose to take the PSAT)
Art: $25 (fee is for art courses above Art 1)
Band: $250 max (This fee is for uniform maintenance cost and is charged to all students who are issued a band uniform)
College and Career Promise: $20 (This fee is for students who choose to take this course taught by a CTE or dual-enrollment instructor.
Graduation Cap & Gown: $35 (The cap and gown unit includes: cap, gown, tassel, & hood)
Gym Suits: $20 (The requirement for gym suits is determined by each school)
Laptop: $40 (This is a user fee)
Lifetime Recreational Sports: $20 (This covers the entrance/participation fees and transportations costs for all off-campus activities)

Elective PE Courses: $15 (This fee will cover the cost of towels, detergent, and any needed supplies for all elective PE courses above 9th grade required course)

Sports Medicine/Kinesiology: $10 (To be charged to cover supplies needed)

Horizons Unlimited/Rowan Museum
Hands-on activities will provide a stimulating, educational and fun experience in celebrating the rich heritage of Rowan County. Each camp is staffed by museum personnel, local history teachers and local college history majors. Register by calling 704-633-5946 or emailing tdcreel@fibrant.com. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Rowan Museum Time Warp Camp (rising 3rd - 5th graders) explores Rowan County's early history. Students will visit historical properties in downtown Salisbury including the Utzman Chambers House, the Old English Cemetery, Freedman's Cemetery and the Old Stone House near Granite Quarry. Each participant will have the opportunity to experience Colonial living through the following activities during the week long camp:
  • Create a journal and practice writing with a quill
  • Locate historical burials and learn local stories of notable Salisburians
  • Learn how to shape and mold punched tin
  • Experience candle dipping, weaving fabrics and rugs, gardening, and outdoor cooking,
  • Introduction to recognizing antiques and artifacts
