Rowan County Early College Make Up Summary

Students Original Student Calendar Revised Student Calendar
Student Day  Monday, December 10, 2018 Waived
Student Day  Tuesday, December 11, 2018   Waived
Student Day Wednesday, December 12, 2018 Waived

Note: The Early College may waive more days because of additional instructional days in their calendar compared to the traditional calendar.

This decision is based on the best instruction for students being held on regular scheduled make-up days and not on Saturdays, Spring Break or at the end of the school year. By law, we are required to provide a minimum number of instructional hours for students throughout the school year. This schedule will allow RSS to remain in compliance with state laws.

Staff

The waived days are for students only. Staff is still required to have worked or to have used leave time.  Please check with your school financial secretaries should you have questions.

Dr. Moody thanks the RSS families and community for their support while making critical decisions regarding the safety of our students and staff.
