2019-2020 Uniform Policy
The highlights are as follows:
Students will wear polo shirts in the specific color for their grade level
- 6th graders wear navy blue
- 7th graders wear hunter/forest green
- 8th graders wear red
Students may choose to wear khaki or navy bottoms. Boys and girls may wear navy or khaki uniform shorts (knee length) or pants. Girls may also
wear pleated or A-line skirts or jumpers that are knee length or longer.
All jackets, sweatshirts, and hoodies worn over a uniform shirt must be official CGMS Spirit Wear.
Shoes must be worn as appropriately intended. Flip flops, slides, Crocs or bedroom shoes are not permitted.

Dr. Macon comes to us from Cabarrus County Schools where she previously served as a High School Assistant Principal of Instruction. With over 17 years of experience in education, she began her career as a middle school math and science teacher. Dr. Macon has experience working for UNC-Charlotte as Teacher Recruiter Advisor, Assistant Director of the NC New Teacher Support Program, and a Director for the Office of Teacher Education Advising, Licensure, and Recruitment.
Dr. Macon received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Middle Grades Education from the UNC-Charlotte; she received her Masters of Education in Middle & Secondary Education and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from UNC-Charlotte. She also received an Add-On Licensure in Administration from UNC-Wilmington.
Mr. Adam DeLand works closely with 6th grade students, while Mr. Jason Rivers works with 8th grade students.
Congratulations Angela Ramey! Gabriel Watkins recorded and submitted a heartwarming video describing why he loved being a student of Ms. Ramey's. Ms. Ramey will be recognized at the Rowan-Salisbury School's Love Your Teacher Event in May.
