Both South Rowan and Carson High Schools will host the "Guiding the College-Bound Athlete" program for students interesting in participating in athletics during college.
Program features will include:
- How to get recruited
- How to become academically eligible
- How to get a scholarship or grant
- How to set up college visits
- Starting as early as 9th grade
Carson will host the program on Tuesday, May 15 at 6:30 PM in the auditorium. South Rowan will host the program on Tuesday, May 29 at 6:30 PM in auditorium. Both athletes and parents are encouraged to attend.
Students on the 1st Quarter Honor Roll were recognized by the China Grove Middle PTA with an ice cream social. Check out some of the highlights as well as advice from several of our students.
Congratulations to Miss Simmerson who presented "#WWICD: What Would Instructional Coaches Do" at the AMLE National Conference in Philadelphia in November along with other Rowan-Salisbury Instructional Coaches. Thank you for representing CGMS nationally.
Congratulations to Cole K for being named CGMS's Reader of the Month for September. Cole was chosen based on his high quality submission for the Summer Reading Project. Cole was recognized by the Rowan-Salisbury Schools Board of Education at their monthly meeting. Great job Cole!
During his tenure, China Grove Middle Schools has exceeded growth every year under NC's Accountability program.
Bradford Taylor is the China Grove Middle School 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year. Additionally at the NCSTA Professional Development Institute in Greensboro, Mr. Taylor was named the Outstanding Middle School Science Teacher for District 6.
